I'm 48 years old and live in Co Down, Northern Ireland. I used to be a stand-up comedian and comedy writer but now I write a comic series called The Life of Sharks and produce my own merchandise for that including t-shirts, mugs etc. I got into guitar making about two years ago when learning how to screen print and making my own printing press, screens and workbenches. I stumbled across one of Ben's videos while looking for screen printing videos and started out making a cheap kit guitar.

I'm hoping to make a walnut solid body guitar with a carved top, based roughly on a 335 body shape, mahogany set-neck and ebony fretboard. I've never made a set-neck guitar before or carved a guitar top. In fact this will be only my third scratch built guitar.
